  • What does the term quality mean?
The set of characteristics (and property values) of a unit in terms of its ability to meet specified and presumed requirements. The project thus involves the fulfilment of the requirements of the responsible body for the finished system and its creation or modification, taking into account the framework conditions originating from the project environment.
  • What does quality assurance include?
All planned and systematic activities carried out within the QM system and presented as necessary to provide sufficient confidence that a unit will meet the quality requirements.
  • What is a quality feature?
Inherent characteristic of a product, process or system that refers to a requirement.
  • What is Quality Management?
All activities of the overall management that define the quality policy, objectives and responsibilities within the framework of the QM system and implement them by means of quality planning, quality control, quality assurance/QM presentation and quality improvement.
  • What is known as quality policy?
An organisation's overall quality intentions and objectives as formally expressed by top management.
  • What is a quality requirement?
Formulation of requirements or their translation into a set of quantitatively or qualitatively defined requirements for the characteristics of a unit to enable it to be implemented and tested.
  • What is a quotation?
Cost determination by means of estimated or quoted prices for individual services, usually based on a detailed construction project. The CT is used as a basis for assessing the relationship between costs and benefits, as a document for obtaining building loans and as a basis for cost control during execution.

Welcome to the ENERsign® U-Value window configurator:

The U-value window is also called heat transfer coefficient and according to the standard DIN EN 10077 it indicates the amount of thermal energy lost through a window to the outside.

The U-value window is calculated using the formula W/(m²K), i.e. watts per square metre and Kelvin. This value refers to the entire window and defines the amount of energy per unit of time that flows through an area of one square meter when the air temperature on both sides differs by one Kelvin. The lower this value is, the less energy or heat the window emits.
